In Swedish we have an expression, “En tänkande August”, which literally translates to “A thinking August”; an artful, subtle person who thinks and reflects on things. My husband calls me by this “name” sometimes. I’m not convinced he always means it in a complementary way, but as the saying goes “You hear what you want to hear” I take it as a compliment reflecting my deeply philosophical aura :).

I’ve spent years wondering why certain patterns seem to repeat in human life. Are they merely psychological tendencies, or are they reflections of deeper principles…?

Are you asking big questions? Me too, let’s band together so we can pool our perspectives. I only have one, so any other perspective is to me like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Many perspectives form a kaleidoscope creating beautiful new patterns in a fragmented world.
